Installers’ Summit 2025 – Save the date: 18–19 November
The Installers’ Summit is back in Brussels this November! Co-hosted by GCP Europe and EuropeOn, and organised in the framework of the RESkill4NetZero Project, this flagship event brings together HVAC installers, plumbers, mechanical contractors, educators, and policymakers.
Building on the success of our last edition, the Summit will feature Skills and Innovation in installations — with a focus on equipping Europe’s workforce for the energy transition.

MFF 2028–2034: What EU’s new funding framework means for our sector
On 20 June, the Commission proposed a €2 trillion EU budget for 2028–2034 — with climate, competitiveness and fairness at its core.
- Why this matters:
For our sector, this proposal secures long-term funding for clean heating and renovation, leaving room to grow skills and SME support — if done right.
GCP Europe welcomes the ambition and calls for implementation rules that:
- Reach small contractors
- Recognise our sector's contribution
- Support workforce development across Europe

GCP Europe contributes to shaping the EU Affordable Housing Plan
In June 2025, GCP Europe submitted its official position to the European Commission’s Affordable Housing Plan initiative. The Commission has launched a new consultation (July 2025) to refine the plan. We will respond again.
- Why this matters:
The EU’s Affordable Housing Plan will influence future housing standards, renovation funding, and green social policies across Europe.
GCP Europe calls for a broad understanding of "affordability" — one that includes energy performance, indoor environmental quality, and support for skilled workers.

ETS 2: Turning carbon pricing into a driver for clean heating
The new ETS 2 will reshape heating markets by applying a carbon price to building fuels across Europe. This will affect energy bills, technology choices, and renovation priorities.
- Why this matters:
Our sector must be ready to support households and SMEs in making informed, cost-effective heating decisions.
GCP Europe has issued a joint statement urging strong support and more clarity.
