GCP Europe supports a harmonised EPBD implementation

GCP Europe has united its efforts with the European Partnership for Energy and Environment (EPEE) on the development of a guideline for the implementation of the revised Energy Performance of Buildings Directive 2018/844 (EPBD). The EU has identified heating and cooling in the building sector as one of the main sources of energy consumption. Installer’s of HVAC systems play a key role in designing the heating and cooling systems for buildings. Consequently, the installer plays a pivotal role in developing systems that minimize the energy consumption while ensuring the optimal indoor air quality conditions for the building occupants.

Within these guidelines, industry offers a unified vision on our recommendations for the implementation of the EPBD to achieve its energy savings objectives. The guidelines address key issues of importance for the installers of building services: inspections for heating and cooling, the deployment of BACS, and the implementation of European standards for building services.
