ISH 2015

ISH: 10 to 14 March 2015 in Frankfurt/Main

Under the motto “Comfort meets Technology”, ISH 2015 will seek to tackle challenges faced in the water, heat and air sectors. With a comprehensive program for the energy and heating market and demographics, in particular in the bathrooms segment, the trade fair will have all bases covered in the area of advanced building solutions. HVAC exhibitors will showcase a complete range of market-ready products and technologies, with unique variety on offer.

“The future is in our hands: sanitation, heating and air-conditioning trades”
ZVSHK: Hall 8.0, Booth C94

ZVSHK is set to participate in the ISH 2015 trade fair under this motto. A sophisticated information and event program will await visitors from trade and industry and political circles at Booth C94 in Hall 8.0.

In Germany, the over 50,000 medium-sized companies of the HVAC trade industry represent the interface between supply and demand in the market. Without the largest group of the installing profession in Germany and Europe, there would be no energy transition in the heat market, and without experts in sustainability, it would not be possible to cater to demand for age-designed bathrooms.

With live reporting: HVAC Studio

The glass HVAC Studio is at the centre of the ZVSHK trade-fair presence. Together with publishing house Strobel-Verlag, the central association will be integrally involved in the event with a multimedia presence. Famous ZDF sports presenter, Norbert König, has once again been roped in as the prominent face of the HVAC Studio.

Visitors to the event will witness live reporting on the topics of water, heat and air with three to four live programs daily. The programs will also be streamed live and can be followed online in real-time or downloaded and watched later as podcasts.

Highlights:

“Bathing comfort for generations” international design competition

Bathrooms are becoming ever more important in houses and apartments. The “Bathing comfort for generations” competition, premiering successfully two years ago, demonstrates the emerging significance of demographic change with its associated implications for the sanitary business sector. ZVSHK has called upon interested companies to get involved with innovative bathing products that merge requirements around barrier-free manufacture with aspects of comfort and safety. The “Design for all” guidelines for optimal combining of design and functionality represent the benchmark.

An international specialist panel will assess the exhibited products and determine a winner at the trade fair itself. ZVSHK was able to recruit Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Construction and Nuclear Safety, Barbara Hendricks, as patron for the competition. The top 5 with their winning products will be presented live directly at the ZVSHK trade fair stand in Hall 8 on 12 March 2015. Further information is available at: www.zvshk-award.com/home.html

“Bathroom of the future” research project
Hall 3.0, Booth F83

Bathrooms play an essential role in delivering adequate living conditions for older people. The notion of being able to live independently in one’s own home is tied in particular to this area of living. Together with the Offenbach University of Art and Design, the central association is involved in implementing the “Bathroom of the future” research project, which seeks to develop futuristic, practical and marketable products for barrier-free bathing.

The research project has already lead to the development of new product ideas for cross-generation bathrooms, with the joint involvement of HVAC specialist tradesmen, design students and end users. The results of this development work will be exhibited at the ISH event in Hall 3.0, Booth F83.

“Stove forum” special exhibit
Hall 9.2, Booths D03+D05

The central association will again hold an “Stove forum” special event together with market partners AdK (German tiled stove industry association) and HKI (Industrieverband Haus-, Heiz- und Küchentechnik e.V.) in Hall 9.2 (Booths D03+D05). The exhibit will illustrate the energy and climate policy significance of wood heating. The special exhibit will host a presentation and dialogue forum and provide space for stove and air heating construction industry experts to get together and discuss topical issues within the industry, including energy policy, the potential of wood heating and technical developments and trends.

In cooperation with the German trade journal “Kamine & Kachelöfen”, ZVSHK is holding the „Stove flame“ design competition, which awards prizes to handcrafted ovens that impress the panel owing to their individual design. The awards presentation will take place as part of the stove forum.
