Joint Statement from the Electrical and Mechanical installation sectors on the recast of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive

GCP Europe, the leading representative of mechanical installers in Europe, and EuropeOn, the European voice of the electrical contracting industry, welcome the European Commission’s proposal for the recast of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD).

Contractors have a critical role to play in the decarbonisation of buildings thanks to their in-depth knowledge of the installation, maintenance and inspection of electric, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
