RESkill4NetZero project launches new Skills Platform to power the clean energy transition
As a leading partner of this EU project, GCP Europe is proud of this new opportunity offering high-quality training to equip Europe’s workforce with the skills needed to deliver the clean energy transition.
Driving the skills agenda for a net-zero future
The clean energy transition is not only a technological challenge — it’s also a skills challenge. Across Europe, companies, training centres, and educators are searching for ways to upskill and reskill workers to install, maintain, and optimise clean energy systems.
That’s why GCP Europe, together with leading EU associations and training providers, has launched a series of targeted courses on the RESkill4NetZero Skills Platform. This initiative supports the EU’s ambition to close the renewable energy skills gap, empower technicians, and accelerate deployment in heating, cooling, and renewable generation.
Courses now available
The following high-demand courses are already online:
- Working at heights — for wind, solar PV and heat pump technicians
- Design and Planning of Heat Pump Systems — from load calculation to system integration
- Managing and regulating heating systems using KNX technology — practical skills in smart control systems
- Hydraulic Balancing — legal requirements, calculation methods, and on-site application
- Basic Concepts of Electricity — a foundational course for all technical trades
Delivered by top European training partners
These courses are provided by our RESkill4NetZero project partners:
Their expertise ensures the training content is practical, relevant, and aligned with the latest industry standards.
Why it matters
The EU needs hundreds of thousands of additional skilled workers in the next decade to meet heat pump, solar, wind, and energy efficiency targets. Without qualified professionals, the energy transition risks delays, higher costs, and lower quality installations.
Our Skills Platform helps:
- Educators — by offering structured learning content
- Companies — by giving staff the knowledge to install and maintain clean energy systems
- Workers — by providing career-boosting skills in a fast-growing sector
